Hello!

I'm looking at getting a motorcycle, and unsurprisingly the pool is much larger on Oahu than on Kauai. Does anyone have any experience or info on what shipping inter island is like? Is it expensive or a hassle? I see on Young Brothers that a vehicle (defined as a 4 wheeled automobile) costs 260 to get here, but I don't know if a motorcycle is put in that category or not. There are a few motorcycles around here that I could look at, but the pricing and quality of bikes on Oahu seems to be so much better. Any tips would be helpful. Thank you!

Check with Young Brothers about if you can put one in one of those 'general cargo' Gvans. Or ask them how they think the best way to do it would be, after all, they'd be the experts. I know a LOT of motorcycles are shipped over here for several holiday weekends every year.

I shipped my motorcycle via Young Bros about 3 years ago from Big Island to Molokai. It was about $400. I made my own shipping crate from 2x4s and 2x6's. Look on CL Oahu for used MC shipping crates though as this doesn't seem an option (building your own) for you. I believe the bike has to be on a crate. It has to be moved by a forklift. 1st thing you should do is call YB's and get the details.
