Well, my company built homes and condos all over on Maui and Oahu. Worked on hospitals, schools, military bases, etc., so doing the work was relatively simple, as I was vaguely familiar with most of it. What did surprise me was the cost of a full tank of nitrogen. With gauges, it was over 600 USD.

Should have called 'The Guy', but once I got far enough into it, that was the last thing I was about to do.

Ya never know, but this is latest from the Climate Prediction Center at NOAA:

"...Enhanced probabilities for above normal temperatures are indicated across the Hawaiian Islands in the outlook from NDJ 2019 to MAM 2020, due to persistent above normal sea surface temperatures predicted by the NMME dynamical models , and supported by statistical models including the CCA and OCN through AMJ 2020. The signal weakens at longer leads, therefore Equal Chances (EC) for above, near, or below normal temperatures are indicated for Hawaii beginning in MJJ 2020 and thereafter..."

In the news today:

Hawaii’s surf might disappear completely if climate change worsens, experts say

For most people, beautiful beaches are the first thing to come to mind when thinking about Hawaii.

However, experts warn that a beach-less Hawaii might become a reality, if no action is taken to prevent further climate change damage to the surf.

Unproven. More CO2 is not a proven cause of climate change. The amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is equivalent to four seats out of a 10,000 seat stadium. How is another seat going to have that much of an impact on our planet that it is going to destroy the beaches of Hawaii? It’s not. It’s a hoax created by no growthers. There is no science behind this. The cause of climate change occurs with the activity of the sun. The sun is what controls our climate, not man. Being that the sun controls our climate, there is not a darn thing we can do about it.

This is just another eco-pocalyptic prediction that won’t come true like the many others made 50 years prior.

Thank you for the most hilarious post of the day. People really do believe that stuff. That has to be the funniest CD post of all time. Bravo.

I need to seek out the thermostat for the AC - the house seems a bit warmer.

You really need to share the formula for whatever it is you're drinking.

And back to the thread.....

Honolulu broke another heat record today with 90 degrees. Yep, 90 on October 23.

On October 21, Kahului hit 95 degrees - a record.

For those counting since April - Kahului broke 48 records and 35 records tied.

Honolulu 20 records broken.

28 broken on Lihue

And fan favorite Hilo wasn't immune with 12 records set

Coincidentally, those four seats are occupied by people that have the exact same thickness of tinfoil on their head as you.

Believe as you wish, no scientific proof man is the cause of global warming. It’s just ridiculous! The joke is on you.
