I think you need to read what you wrote again. We are in agreement. The Bible is being accused of being fiction. The burden of proof is on the person accusing the Bible of being fiction.
It is called Evolution. Man did not magically appear in the garden
....You really do lose all credibility when you can't acknowledge the Bible is fiction. We also know it isn't the word of God - and we know who many of the authors might be - none of which is this alleged God. It is literally a bunch of stories from a bunch of men over 2,000 years ago who had no idea how to explain their own existence as the concepts of science simply did not exist...
Exactly. A 2000 year old book of nonsense.
Joe Smith may have upped the ante with his Book of Mormon though.
Mark Twain aptly called it “chloroform in print”.
Bulltweet.
Prosecutor: “This man is guilty of murder.”
Justice system: “Prove it.”
Prosecutor: “No, you prove my accusation is false first.”
Justice system: “Prosecutor, you are fired.”
You just don’t get it. The Christian is not required to prove the existence of God. Belief in a creator is based on faith, not proof.
I don’t even understand the court room analogy. Makes no sense to me. This is not a court room, not even close. The man is innocent of murder until the prosecutor can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he is not.
The Bible has been there. The Word of God is eternal. So now some person comes along and claims the Bible is false. The burden of proof is on the believer to prove the Bible to be true? That’s just absurd.
We can read all the anthropology books that there is, what is most important about the nature of man is our hearts are deceitful. Not sure what anthropology has to say about that.

Anthropology is science that says: morality is not science. It is a fear-based construct of imagination, limited to homo-sapiens casting for a sense of security and control.

Sorry about your pain, officer.
Not in any pain. Just pointing out that our hearts are deceitful. It’s who we are. It’s our nature.
Is morality a made up thing that isn’t part of our nature?
