Quote from NYfinestbxtf:
You do not understand what a RINO is. A RINO is a person who calls themselves a republican that pretends to be a constitutional conservative when in fact they are not. These are usually career establishment politicians. They do not believe in conservative principles. Trump has proved to be a Constitutional conservative through the policies he has implemented. Cutting taxes, cutting regulations, fixing the VA, funding the military, better trade deals, tough on immigration, pro-Israel, pro-life, pushed for limited government, constitutionalists in the courts, border wall, and most of all putting power back in the hands of the people and taking power away from the corrupt DC.
My response: You seem to think the only Republicans are the "constitutional conservative" types who share your beliefs.
You don't get to choose who
is, or
is not a Republican.
Each American chooses Party affiliation. It's not a club that requires your approval for membership.
Nearly half of America voted the Republican ticket in the recent election. Do you believe that they are all ultra right-wingers such as yourself? Proud Boys and others who invaded the Capitol represent a
miniscule percentage of the Republican party.
They attacked the Capitol as the opening shot of a new Civil War in America. Ultimately, (and thankfully) it devolved into a noisy, failed, protest march.
The fact remains that most Republicans do not support insurrection, as evidenced for the lack of support they had from the majority of the Republican Party's members.
Finally, Trump threw all of his supporters under a bus when he denied encouraging the "rally".
