Old Lahaina on Maui is the best one but reserve early because they sell out.

Thanks everyone!
I'm not a luau guy, but locals on Kauai favor Smith's.

Old Lahaina on Maui is said to be the best. It's the only one I have ever been to and it was impressive.

If I could only attend one luau in my life, I would choose The Feast at Lele, in Lahaina, on Maui. It is a smaller, most excellent luau, with reserved table seating (no self-serve). Every table has a great view and the food is amazing. The traditional dancing is representative of all of polonesia, not just Hawaiian.
The exceptional food, the reserved table, the superb wait staff, and just the setting in general make it one of the most romantic luaus to attend in my opinion.
