Aloha,
we are a young couple from Austria and want to move to Oahu, which depends on winning a Greeen Card in the Diversity Lottery...It's our only hope to get there (or anybody is looking for motivated Austrian people in Hawaii
), we have been there twice (on a very budget trip for one month each trip
) and stayed in small run B&Bs (on Oahu, Maui, Big Island, Kauai and Molokai
) where we got in contact with locals.
We got to love the people (especially the nice guy who gave us his tirewire to change our flat!) and the beautiful islands (especially Molokai
). There are many other reasons, but I think we have thought about this step many months. Making holidays is not the same like living there, but we are one of those people, who don't need much things to be happy (as students, we know what it means to live on budget). For Hawaii, many people are happy to be able to afford the most necessary things, so we also know, that even these things are not easy (especially when you have no job as we are foreign people)! We can also say that we got a little bit in contact with the "real" Oahu...
We want to fulfill our dreams by living on Oahu (don't want to sit on a bench, 80 years old and always talking of why not moved to HI).
So beside of this facts, we have searched some jobpages and found, that there are "many" jobs in accounting. Is this really an industry, where more jobs are available than others? What about the financial industry?
