For about two months this summer, probably late June-mid August, I will be interning at a marketing company based in Waikiki area. I visited Waikiki several times and am quite familiar with the area. My main concern is how to get a housing that would just let me stay for two months and is close to Waikiki but not too costly...
The internship will provide a scintilla of money to subsidize my rent, which means I would probably have to work part-time during evenings. One thing I thought about is biking. I once biked from Food land (near Kalakaua) to Sheraton Waikiki, which was a decent 15-minute ride. Despite the fact that the bus system in Waikiki runs fairly well, I prefer to bike if it is within 40-50 min walking distance. Do you think my willingness to bike within the radius of 3-4 miles will help me getting a decent, affordable, and short-term housing?
Any comments you deem helpful to my dilemma are appreciated!

Check out PAt Winston's Condo's. I have rented from him on a 2 week stay in the heart of Waikiki. His property is on Nahonani Ave/Street. I believe the building is called Hawaiin King but his units were always clean, center of Waikiki and 2 blocks from the beach. He does do long term rentals as well and Pat is a very nice person.
