Chocolate contains high amounts of caffeine which is known to raise homocysteines which is known to cause atherosclerosis.............. which is the #1 cause of high blood pressure.

Have you ever read the package inserts on BP medicines? Many of them are in the similar range! Why do you think folks wind up on 2-3 different meds at the same time?

120/80 is considered optimal blood pressure. 90/60 is somewhat low. When my husband, whose pulse runs very low, gets 90/60 b/p readings he is dizzy and nearly passing out.
Chocolate is not very good for your stomach, too acidic and if you eat it charged with sugar like most Americans do, not very good for your high blood pressure if you gain weight.
I love hot chocolate though, but real cocoa, not those processed products loaded with sugar that they sell here. I can't drink it though
