Absolutely, cutting is not a normal part of growing up! It is a sign of serious mental illness which needs to be addressed by a psychologist and maybe a psychiatrist ofr meds. Your family doctor is not trained to deal with this. Get help now.

I never really had the whole, cliche and typical "high school rebellion" stage that most teenagers have in high school. I never went to a party, never smoked a cigarette, never had a boyfriend and never really had friends. My family always suffocated me with their own paranoia, so I didn't even have a night life and had to stay home and suffer from mental asphyxiation.
Now that I am in my 20's, I have more independence. I love independence and I love taking advantage of the liberties that this country has given me, although I feel as though I am abusing my advantages.
I want to pick up smoking so badly. I also have the feeling of cutting my skin. I want to cut it, obviously, I know this 'cutting' behavior is trivial and juvenile, but I still have urges.
My personality is starting to change for the worse and people have noticed, I have noticed. I'm becoming a lot more sarcastic in nature and this comes off really harsh. I am scared.
Sounds like you just need to get a job so you don't have so much time on your hands to think about all of this stuff, which usually is spawned purely from boredom and low self-esteem. Being employed and actually contributing to society can do wonders for alleviating depression, boredom and anxiety.
Best of Luck to you. I hear Home Depot is hiring seasonal people right now!

It sounds to me you have some emotional problems that are coming to the surface. The stuff you want to do will feel good in the short run, but will not free you from the underlying problems in the long run....which means you'll probably want to do more and more of those behaviors when the short term positive effects wear off (more tattoos, more smoking, more cussing, etc.). Maybe when the smoking doesn't do it for you any more, you'll start drinking to excess instead, or using other drugs instead, etc.
Instead of spending money on tatoos, smoking, etc, maybe it's time to see a psychologist, join a church or meditation group, etc.
There are some really good books on happiness out there that give people a menu of options that have been scientifically proven to make people happier. You might want to go to the local library to find these books:

A job can be helpful, but is not going to solve the underlying emotional problem of someone who wants to be "cut". People don't fantasize about being cut out of boredom. Sheesh.
Those "liberties" you think "this country has given you" are best not taken advantage of.
Geez... What a weird post.
