Hi everyone,
I am sure that you'll be bored while you read my question, but I really don't know what to do. Me and my husband moved to a house ( University townhouse ), I sweapt the hole house completely, cleaned it several times, but my husband's allergies are going crazy...And I know that allergies are not because we are in this town, being that we have lived here for a long while...So, the house is clean, and I don't see any mold growing so far. Maybe behind the walls? Or do you know some allergy relief that works? He tried Benadry, Allegra and stuff like that, but this time, nothing works.

We have a "swamp cooler". We did rent a place from University, they just told us that they had lead based paint before, but that "paint" has been coated many many many times...

Default H2O2 might be helpful!

Here is a
link to a video on the use of Hydrogen Peroxide. You might also do a google search on Hydrogen Peroxide for more information.

Using H2O2 as suggested in this video, helped me to knock out a nasty sinus infection 3 weeks ago without having to resort to antibiotics. I am using it now on a daily basis as a preventative measure.

blessings....Franco

If anyone else has any ideas on what might the problem be, or how to "get rid of it" please share.

Swamp coolers have a lot of nooks and crannies where mold grows.

Is it your furniture, or did it go with the apartment?

One thing with cleaning is that it stirs up a lot of house dust and dust mites that stay in the air for a good while. This time of year is also bad for weed pollens. There may be a patch nearby that you didn't have near your previous home.

If it doesn't improve, I would get him to an allergist. The over the counter things like Benedryl aren't always strong enough. Prescription strength stuff usually does the trick in a couple of days.

Thank you Padgett2 for your answer. Actually, it was unfirnished, furniture is ours, and it has tile - no carpets. It seems like we'll have to do something about the swamp cooler...

Can you get the air quality checked out by a professional? I don't know if there are services like that. Also, my MIL bought an air purifier for her house and it worked wonders. I'm allergic to cats and she had a ton of them in her house. After she got rid of the cats, I would still get allergy symptoms so she bought an air purifier. I still have it but not as badly when we go see her.
