Why is there not a forum for vision? There is one for dental, health, diabetes, etc... but not vision? Do people feel it is not important? I see many questions in several other sub forums, and while they may not seem a lot, I am sure many people would share their questions with others if there was a board.
I just do not understand why such a important facet of our health is disregarded.
Admin adds forums when there is enough traffic to justify it. Just not that many posts about vision, I guess.
Thanks, I have been looking at topics through this forum, finance, etc... and seen many topics. Hopefully we will see it soon, so many people overlook their vision.
When people think of the importance of their health, many times they relegate vision last. It is funny, when you ask someone which sense they would lose if they had to choose, very few people would say vision.
When people think of their insurance needs, vision is low on the totem pole. People would prefer to get their glasses and exam from a place that does "discounts" and not realize you do get what you pay for.
Did you know, in a routine exam a DR can see directly at the blood vessels. From there they can tell if you have high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol etc...?
You may, but many people do not.
