Had my VQ lung scan early this morning. It wasn't 100% clear and wasn't 100% positive. I ended up having to wait at the hospital a bit longer for my results than anticipated due to this. However, given my negative d-dimer and inconclusive results, my new doctor has decided to not treat at this time but wants to watch it closely. I'll just go ahead and consider that good news.
She did say that she's having me see a cardiologist right away. Will be either this afternoon or first thing Monday morning. I really do appreciate her sense of urgency on this because I am quite uncomfortable. Either way, she said the abnormal results and persistent tachycardia must be addressed.
So, as a conclusion (of sorts), I did not have an acute pulmonary embolism. My husband was pretty funny about it. He said that there was either a yes or no answer and I get a none of the above. Figures.
