I don't believe in the flu shot, i believe in my body recovering by itself! I've had the flu and the cold before, both recoverable by drinking plenty of tea with honey and lemon and gargling with warm salty water each morning and before I go to bed at night, and getting plenty of bed rest and of course always drink lots of water.
So I have a couple of questions:
1. what made you decide to get the flu shot, I am 32 and i RARELY get sick!
2. how did it make you feel after you got the shot? did you feel like S***?
I am no doctor or RN but I will only take prescribed drugs only when necessary, but for having the flu or the cold, I'll let my body and the good ol white cells take care of the bacteria lol
You are only 32 years old. You are healthy and young. Thousands die each year from the flu, many are hospitalized. It is worse for the elderly or those who are ill or immune compromised. I didn't get the flu shot at your age either.
Fast forward 30 years, I have leukemia. My body can't fight off infection or illnesses as well as it used to. So for the past 2 years I have had the flu shot. It made me feel a bit tired for a couple days. My husband felt a bit worse after his. He had a low temperature and went to bed one afternoon and slept. He was also tired for a few days, but nothing more than that.
I hope this helps you understand why some get the flu shot.
