I am going to the Doc tomorrow but I think my symptoms are CTS. For the past maybe 2 weeks, my left hand fingers (Pointer then thumb and Middle) feel like they go numb at work at different times. Since I got moved to a new section with heavier movement it shows up more often and even just relaxing at home.

Basically at work I lift 8 - 12 pound metal items off a table on my left (usually with just my left arm, one at a time, line them up in a machine with both hands, pull it out and send it down a conveyor line. I do this at a minimum of 1500 times a shift.

I was filling out some forms a couple of days ago, left handed in writing, and it just became a little painful with the numbness. Feeling like I laid on it wrong type of falling asleep. Prickly feeling.

Does this sound like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

Yes, it does. Do you have a brace or support?

Btw, there are plenty of wrist braces at the Thrift Stores for $1 instead of $15.
And are washable
I think they come from roller bladers or something I give them out to friends like candy!
In an emergency once long ago, I wrapped a magazine around my wrist
with tight rubber bands to stop my hand from bending while I slept.
Wearing a wrist brace at night can help surprisingly...and on the weekends.

Went to the Doc. Confirmed for CTS. Being sent for a EM something where they poke the electric needles in my fingers and from there possible surgery for it. Also a prescription for the Brace for in the meantime.

He tapped a spot on my wrist and it was a weird type feeling. Made me about jump off the table. Can't say it was pain but just very weird shock up my arm through my fingers.

Well, please, research other alternatives before surgery!

Why???

Surgery is the best treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome.....its a compression neuropathy, decompressing the nerve is the best fix....

Yes, it sounds like CTS. Go to the store pharmacy and get a brace that covers your hand and wrist and usually has a metal piece from one end to the other. Wear it at night and that helps.
