Well, the more I think of it bursitis doesn't feel like stabbing pain, just an ache if I remember correctly. It does cause swelling though. I would want to have it checked by a doctor first. DMSO helps with inflammation. I get my DMSO from a feed and grain store as it is stronger than what I have tried at health food stores. Read up on it, how to use it especially, and then decide if you want to try it. I swear by it. It has cured my bursitus of the knee, tennis elbow and helps my neck since I have a bone spur on it.
