Size only matters to very small women. And not small as in weight and height. Small as in very tight vaginal opening. Like women with vaginismus. A woman in her 40s says big is painful and she hates it. But she has had a very active sex life, and still having one. But she's naturally tight. Another woman I spoke too briefly said the same thing "big hurts.." So there are some naturally tight women they aren't as flexible, and it takes more effort.
I am the same. I have been going to the gyno since I was 15 for tests. I am in my 20s now, and the test hurts like hell every time--crying included. Getting my tattoo done didn't hurt as much, and I didn't cry for that.
You may need to use dilators. They can be purchased cheap on amazon.com with instructions on how to use them. They come in 5 sizes, small to large. I use them, but I am stuck on 4.
8 is not average. Roughly 5.5 inches is average. 5.5-6.5 with decent girth is a good range, at least in my experience. Anything bigger than 6.5-7 is a no-go for me. The vagina is only so big, and while it does expand during arousal and sex, it doesn't expand that much. Having the cervix pounded doesn't exactly feel great. Pardon the graphic image.
Measure from your palm to the tip of your middle finger. Then tuck your thumb and pinky finger behind your 3 fingers. That's what you can handle give or take a few. 7 inches long 4
1/2 inches around.
I haven't read all the responses yet and have to run out for a bit but I want to address something. My problem with a tampon is mostly mental. I don't like the idea of having anything unnatural in *there* regardless of size. A toy is unnatural. My DH is not lacking in that dept at all. I made a comparison out of curiosity and found he is slightly more but for some reason that thing looked monstrous to me.
And I have never had kids so no stretching from that but even if I had I hear labour is extremely painful. Why would that even be considered? Surely pain is not fun or arousing.
And my apologies if I got the average wrong. I read it somwhere a long time ago. I could have got it confused with the size desired by some women, idk but I know for sure it isn't mine.
