They said the other day that many Portuguese (can you believe it) have vitamin D deficiency because they use too much sun blocker. The skin needs unprotected sun exposure every day.

Good question! I've wondered the same, as I don't wear sunglasses either. I read that wearing sunglasses too much can make your eyes weak & overly sensitive to natural light.. I think eyelids are "enough" ~ until it gets uncomfortably bright on those intense summer days... Then just look away, lol
