Take some ibuprofen if you want, but you'll probably just have to wait out the discomfort for a few days or a week. Some shots seem to be more painful than others...tetanus vaccine always seems to leave me sore for a couple of weeks.
I have allergic reactions to some vaccines and there's more to it than soreness...usually my arm is red and swollen with a large purple welt where I had the injection, and my face and throat swell. So if you're not having anything like that, it's probably just normal soreness, even if it is quite uncomfortable.
What can I do? Is anyone in the know about this? Cold/warm compresses? Moist/dry?
I can't even lift my arm to 90 degrees without experiencing the soreness.
No discoloration or swelling, just sore.
Analgesic of your choice and warm compresses.
