I had gas........ outside of my digestive track......... which took morphine to stop the pain. Doctors couldn't figure out how that happened.

That's an interesting one... tough to pick one too. So many types of discomfort... hmm. I think I'd still pick heartburn. Mainly because it seems to strike me at night whenever it happens, and there's nothing worse than a nagging pain in the middle of the night.
I've suffered with chronic heartburn for almost 15 years now. I would much rather be nauseous than have heart burn. I can still sleep with a stomachache, heart burn will wake me up from a deep sleep. Fortunately my doctor put my on prilosec and I haven't had heartburn in almost 6 months.
I have them ALL - stomach problem? You name it - i've either had it, or have it.
I had my gallbladder removed and many got worse!
But nausea is the killer. Often nothing helps it. And i have nausea pills, and natural ginger capsules. They help sometimes - but when they dont, i beg for a quick death.
Gas-X chewables work great for gas pain; Tums softies (i think they're called) work good for heartburn/reflux. I also have a "digestive tea" that is wonderful to drink hot.
Being nauseated is truly the worse. You can't even sleep when it's bad.
Yes. Heartburn is bad too, but it's just more annoying. Nausea is just frightening to me.
Anyway, surprising that stomach ache has so few votes.
