Depends on the doctor I think. Some are flexible and some very inflexible. I never had good help from the 3 endos I saw when I was desperate for thyroid support. And there is a lot of info about the cholesterol myth issue. Enough end up with nasty side effects from the cholesterol drugs. A friend was on cholesterol drugs for FEAR from her MD and she deals with 15 yrs of neuropathy. There is a major thread here on statins.
One of my endos was a thyroid specialist and one was a diabetes specialist. Guess which one botched my mutinodular goiter diagnosis? Not all endos are the same!
