Many people for eons have gulped down raw eggs, the more organic the better. The old folks I grew up with raised their chickens and eggs couldn't be fresher. To this day there are plenty of people consuming raw eggs. SOme say egg is the perfect food.

As a kid my mom made egg nogs for me and used a raw egg.

What's the point of it being raw? Oh I know...closer to nature...but seriously, what nutrients are lost - what if it's over easy?

Are all eggnogs made with raw eggs? Why are they so yellow? Do they use more yolk than white?

You said you would rather die young than eat two raw eggs per day. But a good compromise plan might be to go ahead and eat two a day, and then, if you die young, don't eat anymore at all from then on.

I toss in a raw egg or two in my NurtiBullet with spinach, bananas, blue berries, strawberries, some orange slices, and cold water.

I think that article left a lot to be desired. It barely started before it was over.

I think the reason for her longevity is not owed so much to the raw eggs as much as to the fact that she eats a simple diet and probably for many years, couldn't afford to eat much dairy and meat or groceries. She also probably didn't gorge on food the way many Americans do. She also probably did eat mostly fruits and vegetables but may not have eaten "a lot" of them as the article says.

In pretty much every case where diets of various cultures are studied it is the third world nations where people lead simple lives and eat a simple diet with whole foods mostly plant based with little access to western medicine that live the longest healthiest lives.

It isn't until you start to look at the "advanced" 1st world nations with access to medical care where you see much higher incidences of disease and a declining average age of death. You also see diets that are comprised of many refined manufactured drug and chemical laden convenience "foods" people eat.

Could be that medical advances are more able to actually diagnose diseases that 3rd world countries don't have the technology (or availability) to track and treat.

Could you post your source that says there is a declining average age of death?
