I had a large kidney stone that had to be surgically removed. The surgery led to a UIi which lead to a bronchial infection as well, now it seems to be getting into my ear and throat. The Dr. keeps trying different types of antibiotics but the UTI keeps winning. They say a lot of UTI germs have become resistant to the commonly used antibiotics.
I am curious whether anyone knows any food or plant that can help antibiotics work better. The most recent antibiotics almost worked. It beat down the UTI for a good 9 - 10 hours (but it was 12 hours between doses). If I could find a way to give the antibiotics a bit of a kick start, they might be able to beat this danged thing.
I am taking probiotics and/or eating yogurt and that helps reduce side effects of the antibiotics, but it does not boost the effectiveness of the medicine.
It seems the doctors do not have the answer. Their antibiotics run out before the germs do. They keep trying different ones, but none of them quite get there. Their answer is to try another different antibiotic, or extend the time taking the current one. It seems like the antibiotics are close to wiping ut the germs, ut they fall just short.
Also it is scary that these germs are mutating around our antibiotics. What happens when they become resistant to everything we have?
