New contacts (doctor, prescription, lens, glasses)

Hello is just got my prescription today, and just got glasses also. I have a light prescription and am wearing contacts right now. Eye doc said that I should take them out after 4 hours on the first day and that goes up everyday. I am going out tonight and my eyes aren't bothering me what so ever, so I'd like to wear them tonight. If they aren't bothering me, can I leave them in?

You paid good money to your doctor. Why not follow her/his advice?

Because they aren't bothering me, why take them out when they are perfectly fine is all I am saying.

I assume some people's eyes are more sensitive to contacts than mine and I believe that that would be the only reason for this

If they are disposal, most wearers do not need a break in period.
I recommend taking out for a little bit, rinsing them in contact lens solution (as long as it's not a hydrogen peroxide cleaning system),and reinserting them.
Yes I realize it's late and probably a moot point now
