Does anyone know what this is on the side of my finger? It's been there for while, but just started bothering me. I don't know what's inside of it, because it never opens up when my hands are in water.
I have a ganglion cyst on my right thumb. At least I am pretty sure that is what it is. I did ask a doctor once and he told me to hit it with a large book - fortunately I did not. He was a urologist and apparently listened to too much folklore. It is not recommended today: Ganglion Cyst Symptoms, Causes, Tests, and Treatment.
I will get to the right doctor shortly since it is enlarging.
