The norm is for them to be less than 50% effective.
I am done with this thread. There is no giant conspiracy for medical complexes.
As I've said 50% is huge for many in terrible pain. My hip replacement is probably 50%, no groin pain but a lot of complications. I'd be so happy with 20% knee pain relief.
It's not a conspiracy issue, it's real life techniques for healing our damaged joints.
More running and hard workouts will only do more damage. As Darrow says and I believe he's close to 70, he is forever injecting himself as he beats his body up. But he does it on himself and has his buddy docs work on parts he can't reach.
Honestly, if he is forever doing injections on himself, doesn't seem like it is helping much.

I had one session of dextrose Prolo in shoulder 10 yrs ago and the MD did 8 jabs, 8 areas of shoulder. I got 3 yrs of pain free shoulder. I could use it again, but not doing so now, That particular MD moved from my area. Just thinking my shoulder could be worse if I had NOT had that work 10 yrs ago. So I know it works....even years later perhaps. Could be your issue would be worse without the work you had done. More sessions could be what is needed for you too.

The doctor that did the injections did not recommend more than three.
Enough people have told you that running and hard workouts are not the cause of knee problems. FWIW, my brother who had both knees replace is three years younger, never ran, never played basketball or football, and has never done squats and deadlifts. He is heavier than me. At one time he was over 270 lbs. My heaviest weight is 230lbs., but I have been under 200 lbs. most of my life.
He was in severe pain and decided to have both knees replaced at the same time.
Of course it's not the norm, PRP and Stem Cells are finally coming out to the public ....
What is the norm?
I'd like to see more clinical data as opposed to athletes. I went through regenexx in Pa.
May I ask how much your treatments run.
I did the HA shots (3 shots, week a part) that was 1,500
My stem cell was 4 treatments 4,000 dollars
Neither did any thing. Id like to see some efficacy studies.
Now for me it's all about quality of life. Currently im fighting to save my right knee. If stem cell progress to where it's a viable alternative i may revisit it. But 1000's off dollars and still in pain?? I'll probably be good into next year but again I really am not going to let bad knees prevent me from living my life to the fullest, especially since my replaced knee is fabulous.
Again I do hope this science continues to advance.

50% is a number you are pulling out of thin air...
If you are going to use numbers than you need to provide studies to back the numbers up and even if Stem Cells work well for one condition that doesn't mean they work well for others.
I would be willing to bet effectiveness of Stem Cells for bone on bone osteoarthritis of the knee is 10% or less and that would be for short term pain relief only...no curative chance.
I've asked several times and still never get an answer " My hip replacement is probably 50%, no groin pain but a lot of complications"
What are these complications?

I never saw your question and I've posted the complications I don't know how many times.
Shorter leg on surgery side, hence a knee mess. I have had a lot of work on this knee over the 8 yrs.
Femoral Nerve Damage whole right thigh. -- Dead, numb, tingling neuropathy.
IT band damage down right side of thigh.
My right side of body is like day and night compared to non surgeried left side of body.

Didn't ask you about your knee or the shorter leg problem only about the direct and confirmed problems from the hip replacement
You say he 'botched it" it....what did he do that was wrong?
I suppose you'll say every other surgeon that you've gone to is just covering up for him? Or haven't you even sought other opinions?
