Well , I am on other meds, and don't want to add to the list. I'm also taking gabapentin and cymbalta, seems to give me some stamina . I do try stretching and yoga poses for pain relief, and it does work sometimes.
I would love to excercise, but get fatigued and lazy throughout the day.
I have not been diagnosed with fibro, but may have it or CFS. My guess the rhumy doctor wants to continue trying to see what works.
I took tramadol for a couple of years...still do occasionally.
I found it harder to get off of than dilaudid.
I prefer hydromorphone (dilaudid) as a pain killer because I find (for me anyways) it works faster, and if taken for awhile, easier to stop taking.
I think the tramadol would work good for alot of people though.
50 mgs of tramadol has the same potency as 2 mgs of dilaudid (hydromorphone).
Diladud is alot shorter acting drug though, so you would have to take it more often.
I take Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) for my diabetic neuropathy. It goes a long way in relieving numbness and pain in my feet. It is a supplement and is widely used for nerve pain. It is also used for fibro. It's also not expensive and is available over the counter.
Diladud is alot shorter acting drug though, so you would have to take it more often.
It lasts as long as the tramadol does...unless the tramadols extended release...you can get extended release dilaudid as well.
