Hello, I recently been experiencing random twitching in both feet at night while in bed. It is almost like a shock twitch that keeps me from falling asleep. Before the twitching started I was having restless leg syndrom with no twitching. Once in a while, during the day if I sit to long then it twitches too, but mainly at night. Please any help is welcome. Thank you!

P.S. I have taken asprin and it helped a little.

Sounds like this could be within the realm of RLS, maybe just a different manifestation of the same underlying problem:

Have you checked out your environment? It could be something there which your body is reacting to perhaps?

Folic acid supplements may help. Hylands cream for restless legs help too.

Well lately lots of folks are not exercising, getting enough sun, and eating right while being indoors. A regular person having twitching of hands and feet could be a sign of deficiency in minerals. The only way to validate that would be a blood and urine test.

If you are very low in calcium, you may experience this. But do mention it to a doctor.

I have a bad lower-back...........when I stretch or exercise that area, the back of my legs will twitch for about a day, especially when lying-down to sleep.

Try some magnesium, also used for leg cramps, and see if that helps.
