I have a new mattress and it helps so much, but the frequent getting up to pee is still a problem. If that wasn't an issue I would say 7 nights. I do like my wine, but never drink after dinner. I am thinking if I let it go I may sleep more and not get up as often. Who knows for sure? Of course my age doesn't help either. As I posted earlier us oldsters do not sleep straight through like the younger generations do.

It might help. ADH is an antidiruetic hormone produced by the brain that keeps the kidneys from producing too much urine. Alcohol suppresses ADH so the body produces more urine than it normally would. Alcohol also irritates the detrusor muscle in the bladder which can cause frequent urination.
So, for me, I have to get up and pee 2 times almost every night, but I can still get a good night of sleep (7-8.5 hours) even through that. About 3 REM cycles, and with that ... I'm feeling pretty good all day. Even though I have to wake up twice to pee, that's by baseline/standard for a good night of sleep, and it's pretty good.
The most common problem is that sometimes I wake up after the 2nd time and cannot go back to sleep, which then I get around 6 hours. An hour of sleep shouldn't make a huge difference, but I feel groggy and irritable today, and spacey. And my plumbing isn't working 100%. There's usually no good reason for this.
Other times, if I'm anxious or depressed or the weather is shifty I can lose sleep and get as few as 4 or 5 hours. That could lead to a rough day, but it's not the norm.
But ... WFH has helped my sleep a lot.
On average, I'd say 5 days a week, I get a good night of sleep. Before WFH, closer to 3.5 to 4.
I would like to close the gap some to 6, but I know others have it worse. So ... how many days a week on average do you get a 'good' night?

Get a portable urinal and learn how to use it without getting out of bed. Best $10 you'll ever spend.
I was forced to do that 2-months in the hospital, and if on diuretic in your BP med can cause too.
Back at home, I discovered I fall back to sleep solid 100% of time if I don't get all the way up out of bed - and 2 years of blissful sleep ever since.
(mr 4x - you may have to buy 2! )
I voted 7 nights a week - it used to be 2-3 before the above tip!
