*** NOTE -- THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH PLANNED PARENTHOOD DOING ABORTIONS -- THIS IS NOT AN ABORTION QUESTION ***

I heard loads of people talk about how amazing Planned Parenthood is with their medical services, especially with people with no insurance, people who need low cost care for medical services because of no insurance, and people with low cost insurance. They make it seem like Planned Parenthood is the best and a lifesaver when it comes to things like this. They use Planned Parenthood for all of their service needs because of this.

Is there any truth to any of this? Or are they only good for people who do not have insurance, ones who need low cost care because of no insurance, and ones who have low cost insurance?

Well, they literally saved my life when I was 19. I had no insurance, and they were the only place that would do free annual exams. They detected, and treated, precancerous cells on my cervix. Had I not had any options, I wouldn't have gone to the doctor for years, and they could have been really bad.

They also provided me free birth control when I was a teen. They were my only option. So, yes, they absolutely provide vital services.

Where else do you know of that people (they see men too) can get preventive healthcare for free?

For several years, a PP clinic was my primary physician, and I went to them for everything. They were professional and caring. I didn't have health insurance of any kind.

PP has contracts in various localities in the US to provide low-income people (men, women, children) with health care. The details about income qualification and insurance coverage will depend on where you are and whether you are on your state's Medicaid plan. I did pay them, but not near the "market" rate.
