Ask your doctor to check your thyroid levels. Thyroid disease can effect the heart's function and you are right in the age range where women develop thyroid issues. It wouldn't hurt to at least check it.

Very true, and a standard blood test does not test thyroid level. And make sure they do both tests 3 and 4.

Hmmm ... that is VERY unusual. Do not use him as any sort of benchmark! In fact, honestly, I have a hard time believing those readings. They are EXTREMELY unusual for someone who is overweight and doesn't exercise.
I was surprised to see mine averaging in the mid 50s. I am sedentary due to joint issues, though I do do the elliptical machine 30 min. a day. Female, 60s.

I don’t think you are sedentary if you do the elliptical everyday. That 210 hours of exercise a week if you are doing it 7 days. That’s really good I would think. That’s about what I get a week but I sit all day at a desk for work.
