2.10 years ago i had multiple unprotected sex with hiv+ men who's not on meds (i did not take prep). A few weeks after that i had runny nose, headache, sore throat and rash.
I did the 4th Generation HIV Ag/Ab duo test
28th day: inconclusive/indeterminate
at one year negative
at 2.10 years negative
my ongoing symptoms for the past 2.8 years:
Persistent submandibular Lymph nodes
Oral thrush
Chronic Sinusitis
Joints pain
Muscle loss
Acid reflux
I know that hiv is not diagnosed by symptoms but my doctor did additional blood test apart from hiv/std which showed
nothing is abnormal which can explain that the symptoms im having can possibly be due to the hiv.(I’m fully aware that it sounds like anxiety)
My question is why does the 4th generation ag/ab duo test won't detect the infection after 2.10 years?(did not had another exposure) could i be seronegative?

I don't really know what you are getting at and your last question doesn't make sense "could I be seronegative?"

Since the test includes an antibody test and you were negative then by definition you don't have antibodies thus are seronegative for HIV.

I also don't understand several things here. It has been known for many years how HIV is transmitted and you are high risk for several reasons. Somebody who is HIV positive should be on medication. The medication prevents them from transmitting the virus for the most part. You should be using condoms and protection with any new contacts until you know their HIV status. If you are going to be reckless with your risk then you are high risk for infection and so accept it and move on.

You don't have any AIDS defining symptoms and so forget about that. If you have only done one test then do another and forget about it. If you are neurotic as you claim then don't have high risk sex.

If you test negative for HIV Chhbn then you probably are just having random symptoms of something.... I would think if you had gotton it,it would show up in bloodwork....

Does it take a few weeks to show up,Im not sure...... (HIV)

I hope your symptoms do let up...... Im so sorry
