Natural to have decreasing function (read failing) of your organs, including your brain,
as you get older........been there, doing that.

I forget words like when I’m talking I will tell my husband to get something but for a few seconds can’t remember the word I want or use. I forget my phone number sometimes. Or my code for my debit card. It comes back to me but I almost use and old code. I have to write down things I need to buy. I used to remember it. Or I forget I bought something on Amazon and get it at the store. I can remember things from 30 years ago but not yesterday.

My work isn’t effected. Like I remember and do everything I supposed to (I work in sales suppprt) but I notice other things more and more. Last night I was watching a show and it went to a commercial. After a few commercials I forget what happened before the commercial. It came back to me but it took a minute. I’m female, 48 next month. My father has dementia. Is this early signs or just getting older.
My neurologist recommended reading High Octane Brain for a number of neurological issues resulting from an auto accident. I was already working on some of the things the book recommended, but I have kicked it up in high gear over the last two weeks and I feel a difference. I will take my third memory test next week, the first since reading the book and making positive changes. I am looking forward to the results.

48 is too early for that severe level of memory loss

I've had terrible memory since my 20s...decades ago. So I make lists. I'll take a list to the store look at it 20 times and still forget to buy the top thing on the list. Been doing it forever...

I don't forget numbers though. Odd.
