I had learned that the stroke was caused by a small piece of plaque which had mounted in her arteries, that led to her brain.

I had held her as she died in my arms. This happened at the home of her married best friend who was a newlywed at the time as she had invited a bunch of people to a dinner party.

I try everyday since 12-17-2015 to put it behind me. This is an image that will haunt me for a long time.
We don't know exactly why made my mother had a brain bleed. Her very low platelets contributed in making the bleed worse, but it didn't trigger it (or that's what they say). In the end, it doesn't matter.

My mother didn't die from her brain bleed, even though it brought it her down to nothing. She couldn't recover mentally from her stroke. She ended up getting seizures 2 years after her stroke, which led to an infection, which, in turn, led to sepsis. At the end, it was all boom, boom, boom...dead.

I understand your pain. I sometimes think I could have done things that would have stopped my mother from getting a stroke, or having seizures. Also, I think I failed in her the hospital before she got sepsis. I was giving up on her, as her mind was going from all stroke, seizures, trauma...all too much.

Someday the sun will shine for you, friend. It's hard to accept. Every day there is so much pain. I know what you feel.

Please take good care of yourself.

Hemmorhagic strokes don't "deprive the brain of oxygen." It's a bleed; blood eventually clears up. Dead brain tissue deprived of oxygen cannot, on the other hand, be revived...
