This is a safe homeopathic remedy that cannot cause side effects. A 200 potency is very very very diluted.
It is (1 part arnica)/(100 parts distilled water) x 1/100 x 1/100 ... repeating the dilution 200 times. It is likely that the 200 potency does not have a single molecule of arnica in it. It is just a sugar pill with "an energetic signature" if one believes in homeopathy.
The arnica that might cause nausea is the actual herb like this one.

"Take Arnica to help the bruising and swelling.
This may be started the day of surgery 3-4
times a day for 4 days. "
Excellent information! It's rare to encounter someone well educated in homeopathy.
I've never, ever met anyone who has had a side effect from Arnica, let alone one pellet. It's possible your response is psychosomatic. If I look up the side effects of my flu vaccine, I start feeling sick, etc.
Best of luck on the surgery - I'm sure you'll do well. A physician who knows homeopathy (let alone a surgeon) is a rare gem!!

LOL, we experienced homeopathic users are out here. My homeopathic chiropractor moved out of town in the 80's and I had to teach myself with a repertory and materia medica. Before the internet. I bought the 30c blue and white tubes from Boiron directly.

Exactly....That guy should stick to using his retractors and sclapels and leave the rescribing of medicines to those who know what they're doing.
Arnica "can" be used to treat inflammation and pain, but that doesn't mean it should be. It contains Helenalin- a very toxic substance in the right dose...and the trouble with using uncontrolled supplements is that you never know what dose you're getting, and that dose can vary not only from bottle to bottle, but also from pill to pill.
The classic example is digitalis which is found in foxglove plants. For decades it was the best hing we had to treat things like atrial fib, but even in purified, well regulated pill form, it's very difficult to use and toxicity is a very common complication...Chewing foxglove leaves would be a crap-shoot and sooner or later you'd be bound to get poisoned.
Ask that surgeon why he thinks you should use the stuff pre-op?
Arnica is harmless as far as I know. Funny, people will give the failed medical industry chance after chance after repeated failures, endless surgeries and medications but quit the natural route after a single try. Patience will be rewarded. Give it some time
