This is a Homeopathic medicine and it is suppose to help with bruising and swelling. I have had this surgery already ages ago, and was never prescribed anything pre-surgery from my old surgeon, whereas this surgeon has given me a list of helpful medications. I only took one does so far and feel extremely nauseous and rather not go into surgery not feeling good. Plus, I'm googling, which I shouldn't, some really awful side effects. Would you stop?

Yes. And I'd reschedule the surgery if it was in the next couple days.

Reschedule? I don't think so, why would I? Nausea will pass, and I only took 1 dose, so I am just going to discontinue it. It is listed as a possible side effect, but figured since it was prescribed to me, maybe it would help..

That's up to you, obviously, if you think the side effects will pass.

I've taken Arnica for decades and never had any side effects. Was there something else in that prescription? Regular Arnica is over the counter. And yes it does help with bruising and swelling.

Ive used arnica in gel form to rub on bruising etc. A few yrs ago took a bad fall off my horse, fell on right leg/hip. Went to ER couldnt walk on that leg. xrays showed nothing. bruising was severe. ER said its what they see in an auto accident. They told me the bruising would very slowly subside and my lower leg/ ankle would swell from the fluid. I thought nope, not gonna be. so I took the arnica get and everyday rubbed on the hip etc. Bruising slowly disappeared. No swelling anywhere. Great stuff!

Yes, I would definitely stop.

You don't really need to take anything pre surgery. Since the arnica is causing a bad reaction it doesn't make sense to continue.
