I've been using Flonase about 2 months. Yesterday I woke to a sunny beautiful day great for hiking, had my coffee and did the Flonase getting ready to go out there! Within minutes I was so dizzy and nauseated I had to crawl to bed. It lasted all day. After I could bear looking at the computer I looked up side effects. Sure enough, dizziness, nausea, aches and pains. Anyone else have side effects from Flonase? Oh yeah, and depression is another side effect. I have been getting depressed lately because when I go outside for a walk or hike my joints hurt. I thought it was getting old and got more depressed. How long does it take to get out of my system? Today my stomach is still a little woozy. Lesson learned--doing what seems to be the easy way instead of doing the neti pot is not worth it. Started using the neti pot this morning and actually feel clearer than using the d..n F...... (ing?) stuff that doctors have been pushing on me for years until I finally succumbed in my attempts to breath easier.

Flonase never hdany side efects with me. Also...you sohuld know...it does NOTHING for immediate relief. Flonase is a steroid and takes at least 3 days for it to reduce swelling of the nasal passages. If you wake up stuffy and take flonase for relief...it will not happen.

i have 2 kids on flonase, 1 on nasonex. only side effect i am aware of was a bloody nose, only happened a couple of times. they have been on it for 6 or 7 years now. i agree with last post- its not a fast acting medicine, i know a few people who gave up on it because it didnt work within a day or two. but i also agree that if you can get relief from a neti pot, you should go that route. medications like flonase should be a last resort.

I've had a prescription for it for a few years. It works well for me. I make sure to eat after inhaling it so that any drainage of the Flonase won't irritate my throat.

Sorry it didn't work for you.
