I don't need a degree in psychology to infer your intent and "agenda" from these posts in this thread...
The last one is what I replied to originally. The "what America can be and has been in the past". Sorry, but you are trying to conjure up an America that never was...except in the movies. You're the one that introduced the comparatives and suggested we could all draw "lessons" from those era's. I simply provided the counter position based on the reality and facts of what life was like then during the Depression and pointed out that people weren't all that different in how they looked at and treated each other. You're free to have your own opinion, you're not free to have your own facts. If you didn't want to illicite comment and discussion about the Depression outside of your nostalgic view, then don't post the pictures; or, at the very least, don't introduce a flawed and opinionated comparison of "then" vs. "now".
