This is an interesting article. It's surprising that its age wasn't discovered long before this. It seems that only the Creosote Bush might be older.

Aha, so the old English has it's own name for the province? Ok.

It's trees like these that really make you feel small. Just look outside the window, and you will probably see trees that are older than yourself...

There's a really massive copper beech tree across the street from my house. It's magnificent, and it does make me feel very insignificant as a creature... but I'm okay with that.
