So after the current wave of immigrants gets settled in this country and become americanized what will be the next group(s) to come to America in large #'s and scare everyone. If you look at immigration in the historical context every group that has come here has eventually settled in and became accepted more or less. So after the current groups (mexican, central american) who do you think will be next? My guess is africans and middle eastern. I would say Chinese but I think they'll be more likely to stay at home or it'll be the proffessional class that travels back and forth between countries not coming to stay.

Also I predict that the next 30-40 years will see black folks become much more releveant and prosperous than ever before.

Also mixed race people will become more and more large % of the populous.

The next group? Is there anyone who isn't already here?

Everyone is practically here, if you're talking about the group that will have the largest influx of immigrants then that answer for the past 30 years has been of the same. Our friends from down South our border. It's where the easiest access is.

Filipino's are actually numerically (behind Mexico) the #2 nationality coming to the USA right at this time, but many Americans don't realize it. Most Filipino's are Christians and tend to already speak some English, and often are Navy veterans and have nursing training/skills, so all these cultural similarities help them blend in and not stand out as much. In military base communities they are more noticeable.

Well, to start off with a few nationalities: you see hardly any Nepalese - Indonesians - Algerians - Moroccans - Argentinians - Egyptians - Bulgarians - Burmese - or Madagascars in America, now do you ?

Single Chinese men. There will be 24 million of them by 2020. My guess is their gov't will ship them off to American universities just to get rid of a growing tinderbox.

Iraqis and Afghans. Every time the US gets into a war the US gets a great deal of immigration from that area.

Iraqi immigration is increasing, although it's still pretty small.

Afghan immigration increasing is most likely a future phenomenon. After all, there were very few Vietnamese immigrants in the US in the late 1960s, but the number would get quite large once the US pulled out.

That's actually pretty interesting. Thanks!

Man there's districts with "Little Saigons" all across the country now, in nearly every large city with a good number of Vietnamese people.
