It is a beautiful birdfeeder, but you have to watch out for squirrels. They can be very destructive. It might be the picture, but it looks too close to the ground and a tree to be safe from the grey squirrels. The little buggers like to gnaw everything and you took too much time making it to lose it to those tree rats!
Very beautiful, a lot of details, I love it. Does it offer protection against squirrels? I know those are really clever and usually have no problem to bypass most of the systems that are supposed to block them.
What I always thought would be neat to watch is one of these nest holders you can attach to your window where, when the birds make a nest and lay their eggs, you can watch it all from inside your house. I bought one for my grand youngsters, but Mom and Dad never got around to putting it up.
It's absolutely gorgeous. I like the two toned look as well with the roof being a different wood colour or stained. Lovely.
