wow, I checked out the cost of buying bows from Michaels-- very pricey$......not those tacky red bows-the more elaborate ones.
At one time I had bought a bow maker thingy but I didn't like it.
Do any of you make your own bows?
If so is there a method to the madness without using the bow maker?

Here is a video on making a bow and a wreath. My mom makes both but she lives in a different state and I never learned.

Your question brought back memories for me. My mom used to make bows by hand for holiday plants that went out wholesale from a 5 acre greenhouse....literally thousands and thousands of bows.

Google "bow making"+video and you'll find what you are looking for.

I've searched through a ton of videos...gawd, I can do without all the homey chatter and lame jokes...just show how to make a freakin bow! It does not take 10 or 15 minutes.

There's a Victorian home in Oregon City which was set up all year long in Christmas decos. I bought a ton of ribbon from them when they closed their store this year, but mostly it's ribbon with wire edges. So this video won't work for that. You would've loved it, Dream...two floors of nothing but Christmas decorations.

This is a beautiful bow. I like how she demonstrates with just a few instructional comments. Easier to learn that way, at least it is for me.

Thanks for the video!!

If you think Michael's is expensive, you should check the prices at Cabela's or Dick's Sporting Goods... LOL!
