I use to paint alot and so slowly replaced and updated my paints and brushes. But I took a break from it for awhile and now I am totally out of acrylic paint, need new brushes, and would also like to buy a roll of canvas. But I also don't want to spend a fortune. There are a million supply sites out there--does anyone have a good recommendation for one with good pricing and reliable shipping? What do you think is the best mid-grade brand for acrylics or brushes? What about canvas? I have never ordered a roll before (I have stretched them before--just used other people's canvas!).

Thanks!

As someone who is both an artist and an art teacher, I have long relied on this company and highly recommend them to my students as a source of mail order art supplies:

UTRECHT ART SUPPLIES

They manufacture their own paints as well as sell popular brands made by others. Their paints are both reasonably priced and high quality. They do market both student grade and professional grade so prices will reflect that.

They offer a variety of canvas - I highly recommend the 100 percent polyester, which is a bit more expensive than cotton canvas but much easier to deal with if you're planning to stretch your own. Utrecht used to be the leading importer of fine Belgian linen and other types of canvas and they still offer a full line.

Awesome! Thank you so much. As I started peruse other sites, I began to think I should look at the student grade for now, so that is great to know. Off to check it out. Thanks again!
