The Vancouver Canucks say they will retire Pavel Bure's No. 10 jersey for the 2013-2014 NHL season.

The Vancouver Canucks have confirmed they will retire former player Pavel Bure's No. 10 jersey during the 2013-2014 NHL season.

Team executives announced the move during the club's annual summer Tuesday night. His number will be the fourth in franchise history to be retired, joining Stan Smyl, Trevor Linden and Markus Naslund.


Bure has to be the fastest and most exciting player that Vancouver ever had and cograts to the "Russian Rocket" he deserves to have his jersey hang with there with Smyl, Linden and Naslund in fact he should of had his number retired before Naslund.

I hope he does not go with his number 98 and we retire number 10

Shame Bure had a bad knee for a long time. Probably the fastest skater I've ever seen. Wicked wrist shot and always found a way to put the puck in the back of the net. He had two 60 goal seasons in his first three and had 58 and 59 goal seasons in Florida. Amazing player.
