I'm with you, girlfriend! What a great birthday present for Howard! Only way it could have been better was if it had been a shut-out! DH has been wondering most of the season where the Red Wings he knows and loves had disappeared to; last night he keep commenting, "There's my Wings! Those are the Wings I know!" I'm hoping that Franzen has got his legs back and is going to get a hot streak right about now. I'm thinking it might be good to bring out my stuffed octopi collection and put them on the bed for good luck! It is already starting to feel like play-off games!

Their season has/had been littered with injuries. I swear I'd be listening to the games or the news and hear that yet another one was out. It was insane. LOL It's nice to see them be able to play some games as a whole cohesive unit for a change. Tough game with Nashville tonight though.

Which is why DH had been wondering, albeit rhetorically, about where his Wings had disappeared to. I thought it was a great game; classic battle between two opponents, neither side giving the other any quarter. What a nail-biting shoot out! I normally do not care for shoot outs. I would rather see the team play additional OT than to have the winner determined mano a mono, as it were.

Nah...Nashville squeeked out their win tonight too. They are at 96 and we're at 95. But hey...I'll take the 7 game winning streak. Though I wonder how long can they keep it up. Incredible. Should be interesting to see what the Avs/Flames game turns out to be. And our meeting with Nashville should be quite the game!

Really? The standings I saw after the game had the Wings listed in 5th place.

We probably were for the hour that the Preds were still playing. If they lost we would have slid into 5th more permanently. But they won so they moved back and have 96 points.

Should be interesting Saturday in terms of points between the 2 teams.
