I agree same light different sizes...but my question is...l have 3 smaller and 2 larger lights (we are building) contractors put large lights at entrance and smaller at garage and garage entrance...doesn't seem right. l think the smaller at entrances and garage ones larger..any opinions?

This is NOT an opinion-
Yes, the builder has it correct. The rule of thumb for front entry lighting is 1/3 the hgt of the door- or about 27"h.

The way you're builder is doing it is pretty standard.

Listen to k'ledge builder .... small fixtures next to doors just look horrendous. Looks like a doll house light got put up accidentally on a real home.
