This is my dining room:

I want to do something to that one empty wall, but I don't know what. I live in an apartment and I can't paint or do something "permanent." So I need some kind of art treatment or something. But at the same time, it can't compete with the rest of the room, because the dining room and living room and kitchen are basically one room:

I was thinking maybe an arrangement of mirrors on the wall? But I dunno. I just can't visualize something in my mind. Does anyone have any suggestions? Again, no paint, no construction, no paper.

You could do something like this rather than another flat object on that wall...you need something with dimension.

I also think the interesting green of the picture frame on the shelf posted above would be a good addition to your room. Just touches of that green would perk it up a bit...would love to see a few strokes of green on that picture too.

Good call!
A spray of orchids (silk!) in that color green in a very simple container on the table would be great, too!
IMHO, every room could do with a touch of floral, whether its a full blown arrangement, or some great tropical green leaves in a simple container.

OP, some tall silk bamboo in a tall vase in the right hand corner would make the room appear less stark, soften it up a bit.

I would add a narrow black frame to the painting you already have in the room, to make it stand out more. Then leave the other wall blank, as you have it. If flowers are added to the table, then the light fixture needs to be moved higher to accommodate the flowers. I like the idea of the wall shelves if the room were larger. I'm not sure there is enough room between the table/chair and the wall to comfortably move the dining chair out and walk behind it without bumping the shelf. Gorgeous kitchen cabinets!

I think either a mosaic picture or a bold framed single mirror would look nice. I've attached a couple of photos.

I agree, a shelf of some kind, in a dark tone, with something colorful on it...or a plate rack full of odd interesting plates, maybe?
Your apartment is lovely, and I get where you were going with the painting in the dining room, but I would have gone with a piece that is more colorful.

Those shelves are very narrow and I don't believe they would interfere with anything. I would not leave that wall bare though and I agree that the large picture needs some weight to it - I like the idea of a darker frame and an area rug with some black in it.

I agree with Cattknap, frame the picture and add a rug to give the space a completely different look. The space needs some warmth.

Another thought, the picture in your living area appears to have lots of color.
Have you tried switching the two?
Nice apartment.
