Need an experts help on what colours to use in my bedroom! (curtains, color)

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the forum and would love some opinions on decorating my bedroom, colour wise!

Currently, I have a black/grey/white theme going on, my original plan was something similar to this:

Not sure if I should keep it simple with these basic colour or incorporate a colour like purple.

Inside, I have:

- black curtains
- grey dresser
- white trim
- grey walls
- white closet (which I constructed.)

What I need:

- 2 curtains to cover up the front of my closet
- throw pillows and throw sheet for bed?


Would love some feedback on this, should I make the closet curtains and bed accessories purple?

You need a color! Maybe a blue or green that would look good w/the gray?

I didn't go to your link, but it sounds like you want purple - so go for it.

I would add ONE accent color of your choice. You like purple...but also consider a deep turquoise, or peacock blue/green. Pillows, a wall hanging or picture with a touch of the color you choose, a few decor items...but just a few. You may be able to upload pics after you've been on the forum a while longer. I look forward to your pics.

Thanks everyone, will definitely upload pics once more of it has come together.

I actually found some very cool material bye googling: 'nouveau art fabric' and 'art deco fabric.' It looks like fabric almost made in the 30's, very beautiful and will make nice curtains.

Let me know if any other ideas come to mind, I TRULY appreciate the feedback!
