What primer to paint over wall mirror? (floor, fireplace, countertops)

Hi, I'm trying to de-80s my house. I have a large mirror over my fireplace mantel that I'd like to keep, but there are also 12 inch wide floor to ceiling wall mirrors on either side of the fireplace. I was going to remove them...then I realized that they put the mirrors up before they put up the mantel, and there's no good way to remove them as at the bottom they were placed in a fixture.
Second choice - paint to match the walls.
What primer would you use? I have some Kilz Premium, some Zinsser BIN shellac primer, and some BIN 1-2-3; hoping one of them will do the trick, but if there's something better please do tell!

Why not enclose them in faux columns instead? A very talented handyman with great creative mind could make them for you. Don't know what kind of pattern is on the mirror but what comes to mind for me is rounded (outward)pattern for the column but use 1"(or less) wide wood with 1/2(or less) gap between them so the mirror show through going vertically from ceiling to floor with a beautiful header and base but too bulky. Painting them an accent color to the room or the mantel instead....just my imagination working here
Hmmm...the column idea is interesting...I might face the same problem though with glue because they are snug against the large mirror over the mantel.
I really would be happy if they are painted the same color as my wall, I think. I have to try it out in a room visualizer program - saw some painted ones on a blog and they looked amazing. You wouldn't even know they had been mirrors. Seems so much less work than taking apart a somewhat elaborate mantel.

Like I said, get a good handyman and he could help you with the details. My handyman is infamous for his creativity. I just give him what ideas I'm thinking about and he runs with it.
I guess I can have someone do that, I'm just trying to DIY as much as possible because I'm about to pay for new countertops (ugh). Maybe removing the mantel isn't the monumental task I thought it was?
You can't paint glass with wall paint. It won't adhere to it. There's a special paint for decorative glass painting and it's so translucent it's like stained glass.
I'm going to remove it - thanks all! This was really helpful - I see it's nowhere near as complicated as I thought it was. I think I just have to remove the shelf and some moulding. Getting the mirrors off the wall without damaging the drywall might be the greater challenge. I'm going to run a wire behind it.
Why not cover the mirror tile with squares of wall paper?
