How Can I Choose Right Pillows for My Sofa (sand, color, pictures)

I have recently moved to Los Angeles and right now I am really confused choosing the decorative items for my apartment. I have a really large leather sofa and want some big luxury throw pillows for that. Will it be a good idea or maybe I should select some other luxury decorative pillows.

Your suggestion would be highly appreciated.

I'd like big faux fur pillows, but you live in LA. Why not some Kilim pillows for winter?

Not sure of the diff, unless you are talking about a full body pillow.

Take a picture of your room on your phone. Go to some stores, like Pier One, World Market, Homegoods, etc, where they have a good selection. Choose some you think will look good, and choose some that just appeal to you, even though they might not go, take them home and then return the ones that don't work.

I have mint-green leather (I'm in Florida) with two large beach-scene pictures above the sofa, so I have decorative pillows that tie together the artwork with the sofa. I think they are one of the easiest ways to keep your decorating fresh. I usually get the pillows anywhere from Walmart to Pier 1 to Bed/Bath/Beyond. I don't like to spend a ton on them because my dogs love to sleep on them and therefore they get dirtied and slobbered on.

If your sofa is a solid color, I would recommend something with a print or more than one color on it to provide some contrast. For example a pillow which not only has the base color of the sofa on it but also another color which you can either match with wall paint, coffee tables, rugs, etc. Hopefully this helps. I totally agree with this point. No one can tell how to decorate your room.So just go out with your room's photo and choose from the available options.
