But if memory serves, the horn lamp is original to the house. The thing that so many people are focusing on and hating, is original to the house. Interesting.

The horn thing would be perfectly at home here in Colorado in a ranch or lodge-style home. It was probably a quirky thing the original owners liked...or wishful thinking that they were elsewhere. I'm not thrilled with the inside style versus the outside. The hardware on the closets is too fussy for that house, as are the white spindles near the staircase. Fun to look at these pics though.

When I saw the reference to Tudor Revival, I was expecting to see the brown and cream exterior. The gray made it much more visually appealing, I don't think I've ever seen it in another color. Looks very nice.

I liked the horned light fixture, certainly grabs your attention. The fact that is original to the house makes it more interesting, makes for a great conversation there.

I liked a lot of features (like the closet doors in matter bedroom). The main thing I didn't like was the kitchen... I generally don't like soffits, but this one looks thicker than usual and makes the upper cabinets a little too low for my liking.

The house looks great on the outside, but inside it's just another boring, everyday, overimproved McMansion. I saw nothing vintage or period correct in that house, except maybe the horn chandelier - which was fantastic. I'd like to see it in context of the rest of the room, however. Maybe that's why a few people objected to it.
